Wet felt is one of the oldest textile techniques in the world — wool fibres are compressed by hand and foot under heat and moisture until they interlock permanently. The result is a dense, seamless surface unlike anything knotted or woven.

Flatweave. The Ancient Way.

Zapotec flatweave has its own feel — flat, firm, reversible, and alive with color. No pile to choose. Just pure woven craft.

Casa Muñiz Texture

Flat. Firm. Incredibly Durable.
Reversible, Too.

Zapotec flatweave is woven on a loom — warp and weft interlocking with no pile at all. The surface is smooth, firm underfoot, and shows every color and geometric detail with incredible clarity. It's the textile equivalent of a painting on the floor.

Pile height × knot density — what does it mean for you?

Lower KPSI = fewer knots per square inch = taller, looser pile. Higher KPSI = more knots = shorter, denser, more detailed. Think shag vs fine Persian. Both are extraordinary — just different.
