Do I need an appointment to drop off my rug?
No appointment needed — walk in any time during business hours (Mon–Fri 8am–4:30pm, Sat 9am–1pm). Just pull up to our lot and we'll come out and help you unload. For large collections or multiple rugs, a quick call ahead is appreciated but not required.
Can you pick up and deliver my rug?
Yes — we offer pickup and delivery throughout the Bay Area. Call us at (650) 343-0929 or fill out the form above selecting “Pickup & delivery” and we'll schedule a time that works for you.
How long does cleaning take?
Standard turnaround is 1–2 weeks for most rugs. Specialty pieces — antiques, delicate silks, heavily soiled or damaged rugs — may take longer depending on what's needed. We'll give you a realistic timeline at drop-off after inspecting the piece.
Can you identify what kind of rug I have?
Yes, and we do this at no charge. Bring your rug in — or a clear photo of the front, back, and any label — and we'll tell you where it's from, approximately when it was made, and what dye system it uses. This is something we genuinely enjoy and have been doing for nearly 70 years.
Do you clean all types of rugs?
We clean hand-knotted Persian, Turkish, Moroccan, Navajo, Zapotec, Caucasian, Central Asian, Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, and machine-made rugs. If it's a rug, we've almost certainly cleaned something like it. If a piece isn't a candidate for cleaning, we'll tell you honestly at inspection.
Do you offer repair and restoration?
Yes — our master weavers Maria Vasquez and Lulu Serrano handle fringe repair, edge binding, reweaving, and structural restoration. Bring your rug in for an inspection and we'll assess what's possible and give you an honest, written recommendation at no charge.
