Before we clean, we inspect. We identify the origin, the weave, and the materials. Persian, Turkish, Moroccan, Tibetan, Kilim, Bokhara. How we clean it depends entirely on what it is.
A rug is not a carpet. We test for colorfastness, wash front and back by hand, air dry, and groom by hand. No shortcuts. No steam cleaning in your living room. We do it the way it was meant to be done.
After we clean it, we tell you what it needs. Moth protection. Optional Fibershield. Repairs. A better rug pad. We are your rug's long term care team, because a well cared for rug can last a hundred years or more.
