How frequently should I have my rug cleaned? There is no set rule. Usually every 8-10 years. If one has children, animals, and heavy traffic, then every 2-3 years.
Should I vacuum my rugs?
Yes. Carpets must be vacuumed at least once a week. Upright vacuums are recommended.
The fringe and the edges are fraying, what should I do?
Have the fringe and the edges repaired as soon as possible to prevent the carpet from unraveling and/or further damage.
Do I need a rug pad?
Yes. A rug pad would give a better cushion. Additionally, it will extend the life of the carpet.
Do I need an appraisal?
Yes. It is very highly recommended to have a photo of each carpet along with the appraisal. Have the appraisal and the photo stored in a safety box.
